Many visitors came to learn more about research at the University of Bonn firsthand. Our group "Market Research in Agricultural and Food Economics" from the ILR presented two of our current BioSC projects: P3roLucas and LignoTex. We invited visitors to take part in two studies. In one of the studies, visitors could share their perceptions of bio-based plastic alternatives made from lignin. There were also activities for our youngest visitors. Children could go on a treasure hunt in a sandpit and exchange their "gold coins" for colorful sand shovels.
The P3roLucas project offered the opportunity to learn about the world of lupines, including product tasting. Overall, the Science Festival was a great experience for everyone involved! The research was made tangible for both young and old, leaving new and stimulating impressions.
